For job seekers, you’ll need your ID number and basic details like name and contact information. Employers will need company registration details and contact information.
2. Do I need an internet connection to register on SPAAN?
No, you can register using the USSD platform by dialling *120*77226# on any mobile phone. Remember, USSD is charged at R1.50 per 20 seconds.
3. How do I register on SPAAN?
We prioritize accessibility! Registration is simple and can be done on USSD, WhatsApp and on our Website.

5. Can I edit my profile after registration?
Yes, job seekers can update their profiles anytime on any one of our platforms (USSD, WhatsApp and Web Portal). Employers can only update their profiles on the Web Portal for now.
6. How do I apply for a job through SPAAN?
Job seekers can search for jobs on the USSD, WhatsApp or Web Portal, then apply directly by following the prompts. You must be registered to apply, and have your document verified and background checks done to be more attractive to employers.
7. What are “AI-Assisted CVs” and how do I get one?
AI-Assisted CVs are professional standardised CVs and created on a SPAAN standardised template based on the candidate’s profile information. Employer will use these to get candidates Spaan profiles information and verifications statuses. Job Seekers can also generate one at any time and use it as a supporting document for any other job application made our side of the Spaan platform, to position themselves as a trusted candidate. These are available at a small fee.
You can generate the following:
- Spaan Report. Simple document that contains your profile information and references.
- Spaan CV – As above but also details your experience.
- AI Assisted Spaan CV – Includes AI Assisted experience and references, to create a more polished CV. (Useful if English is not your first language.)
8. Is my information secure on SPAAN?
